Google Page Rank Updated
by Srinivas, July 7, 2011Google have updated the page rank toolbar over the weekend and many webmasters are yet again having a hinge. Many are complaining that the page rank of their website has been reduced by one and are worried as they think it might be some form of penalty.
Many people are telling that Google is currently updating the page rank of each site; this is what can be seen on the toolbar and is basically a rating out of ten for each website. Page Rank is a Google Product and numeric value that represents how important a page is on the web.
Google figures that when one page links to another page, it is effectively casting a vote for the other page. The more votes that are cast for a page, the more important the page must be. Also, the importance of the page that is casting the vote determines how important the vote itself is. Google calculates a page’s importance from the votes cast for it. How important each vote is taken into account when a page’s Page Rank is calculated.
Page rank is not be all and end all, and people should not become too angry if they are not able to for example obtain a page rank six straight away. I consider hard work pays off and that a website should be seen as a long term project.
If you stick by the rules, there is no reason why within a few years your site should not be rewarded with a respectable page rank value. I think that too many people who bring out new sites are trying to get rich quick, obtain far too many backward links too quickly and see the whole thing as a sprint rather than a marathon.
Like the majority of people, I am hoping to see some positive results from this page rank update, deciding a page’s importance.

No we are not using any widgets to speedup the load time of the blog. The speed depends on the hosting where the blog or website has been hosted.
